PTA Executive Board Elections and School Leadership Team Elections October 15th

Good afternoon Schuyler Families,

I hope you and your families had an enjoyable weekend and that you and your loved ones are well.  We are looking forward to our Parent Teacher Association Executive Board Elections and School Leadership Team elections which will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 6pm via Zoom.  The Zoom link will be shared closer to the election.  Spanish Interpretation will be available at the election meeting.

All offices for PTA Executive Board are open including President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.   As board members you will collaborate closely with school administration and Parent Coordinator to develop programs that will engage our Schuyler Parent/Guardian community.  In the past, our PTA Executive Board has planned potluck dinners, movie nights, dances to name just a few.  Additionally, the PTA has sponsored workshops with guest speakers on important topics including finances, high school admissions process and student cyber safety.  No experience is necessary to run for a position on our PTA Executive Board.  We hope you will consider this opportunity to make a difference in our Schuyler School Community!

School Leadership Team elections:  we have 4 vacancies for Parent Membership on the School Leadership Team.   The School Leadership Team meets monthly to collaborate on decisions that impact our school community.  The primary responsibility of the SLT is to develop and monitor the Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP) goals.  Additionally, the SLT collaborates on the CEP action plan which outlines how all members of the school community including staff, families and students will meet the yearly goals.  Members of the SLT receive a yearly stipend for their work on the team.

If you have any questions about PTA Executive Board or SLT, please contact our Parent Coordinator, Mr. David Grady.  Looking forward to seeing you at the elections on October 15th!
